Our first full day in South Africa and we chose to visit the Botanical Gardens at Kirstenbosch which must feature in my top ten best places in the world.

We took the coastal road via Llandudno and Hout’s Bay and stopped on the way to see sea birds and seals.

We particularly enjoyed the tree top pathway which we had not seen before.

In the evening we very fortunate to be able to be present to celebrate the 75th birthday of our friend Mary Van Selm and to meet up again with all our special friends in Cape Town.
