Day 8 – Friday 19th May

We decided to head back to near the Talisker Distillery and explore some more of that peninsula.

En route, whilst taking some photos of the landscapes and the lambs (I was getting desperate for wildlife shots by then), we had great views of a buzzard.

A little later our flask of coffee was even more enjoyable when we spotted red-breasted merganser (as well as great northern divers) on the loch where we had stopped.

We had our lunch next to the Talker Distillery.

We then carried on to the nearby peninsula where we had a lovely walk along the coast and enjoyed both fauna (including a deer) and flora (bluebells especially).

We even managed a return to the Wee Tea Shop for more cake (and siskins) and carried on down to the loch in the hope of catching sight of a white-tailed eagle (unsuccessful).

The views were again magnificent.
