Chew Valley lake: tufted ducks, shovelers and shelduck and a great cormorant on a post

2 male kingfishers, 1 grey heron, 6 cormorants, 50+ black-headed gulls, 30+ mallards, 2 moorhens. Enjoyed pointing out the kingfisher to people who had never seen one.

21st December 2017 – Eastville Park

We heard a tawny owl near the River Frome and saw an otter on the lake.

We saw 2 male kingfishers and 3 grey herons, a robin, a blue tit and heard a green woodpecker which someone else had spotted. the 2 mute swans and a cygnet were still there but no cormorants this morning.

20th December 2017 – Eastville Park

2 Mute swans and a cygnet, 2 cormorant, 1 grey heron, 2 kingfishers, 1 grey wagtail, 1 dipper (and a possible sighting of an otter)

Kingfisher, grey wagtail, dipper, black-headed gulls, robins, blackbird, blue tit

28th October 2017 – Eastville Park

Cormorant, grey heron, mute swan, Canada goose, mallard, coot, black-headed gull, feral pigeon, woodpigeon, kingfisher, grey wagtail, blue tit, great tit, jay, magpie, jackdaw, carrion crow, goldfinch.
